Popis: The atmospheric sulfur dioxide (SO2) concentrations were determined by performing simultaneous sampling and analysis with West-Gaeke and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) methods at Pamukkale University Kinikli Campus. In the spring of 2015, average SO2 concentrations were found to be 19.7 +/- 16.1, 62.8 +/- 22.0 and 20.6 +/- 40.3 mu g/cubic meter for the West-Gaeke and H2O2 methods and for the Denizli 1 air quality monitoring station, respectively. The SO2 concentrations obtained by the West-Gaeke method are lower than the values determined by the H2O2 method. When the statistical relation of the SO2 data set obtained by two different methods in this study is examined, it is seen that the regression coefficients are 0.21 for the linear trend and 0.25 for the polynomial trend. It has been found that the SO2 concentrations obtained by the H2O2 method are higher than the SO2 concentrations of the Denizli 1 air quality monitoring station and the SO2 concentrations determined by the West-Gaeke method do not show a distinct change with the SO2 concentrations of the air quality monitoring station. The determined SO2 concentrations are below the limit values for Turkey.
