| Popis: | The cases of two children with the haemolytic-uraemic syndrome (HUS) in whom clinical signs of intussusception necessitated emergency surgical intervention are reported. Both patients had bilateral renal cortical necrosis and haemorrhagic gangrenous colitis; both subsequently died. The early recognition and appropriate management of HUS is advocated. |
