| Popis: | We present an overview of major dissociative disorders, including depersonalization/derealization disorder, dissociative amnesia, and dissociative identity disorder. We discuss the prevalence, etiology, and treatment of each disorder and review treatment approaches. We present two competing models of dissociation - the posttraumatic model and the sociocognitive model - and highlight controversies that have divided the field for more than a century. |
