INVESTIGATION OF THE EFFECT OF COMPUTER AIDED AND PROJECT BASED TEACHING METHODS IN SCIENCE EDUCATION ON ACADEMIC SUCCESS

Popis: The aim of this research is to examine the effect of teaching with activities prepared in accordance with computer-assisted and project-based teaching methods on the academic achievement of fifth grade students. In the study, quantitative research method and quasi-experimental design with pre-test and post-test control groups were preferred.. Before and after the application, the academic achievement test was applied twice to the control, D1 and D2 groups. Since the collected data showed normal distribution, the analysis of the data was done with t-test and ANOVA. As a result of the analysis, it was seen that the post-test scores of the students in the D1 and D2 groups increased significantly compared to the students in the control group. There was no statistically significant difference between project-based and computer-assisted teaching methods. As a result of the analysis, it was seen that the academic achievement scores of the groups in which project-based teaching and computer-aided teaching methods were applied were higher than the control group students. The findings of the study were compared with similar studies and discussed and suggestions were presented.
