The Toolbox Dialogue Initiative (TDI) at Michigan State University (MSU) commissioned the Evaluation Center (EC) at Western Michigan University to conduct a collaborative, summative evaluation of its Toolbox workshops. The primary purpose of the evaluation is to determine the impact of TDI’s workshops on individual workshop participants. It includes an assessment of TDI’s ability to increase the communicative and collaborative capacity of workshop participants, as measured by their self-expressed attitudes towards research, mutual understanding, and team cohesion. In turn, impacts on attitudes and behaviors related to research are theorized by TDI to improve research productivity in cross-disciplinary and collaborative settings. |
