Popis:	Four cases of dentigerous cysts involving permanent incisors are reported. In each case the primary predecessor had been traumatized, was discoloured and suspected of being non-vital. Epithelial proliferation of the follicular tissues induced by chronic periapical inflammation of the predecessors is suggested as the most likely pathogenesis of cystic transformation in these cases. Regular radiographic review of discoloured primary incisors is recommended.
