Popis: | In psoriasis, biomarkers for disease prognosis and response to treatment may help clinicians in order to improve patient management.1 Although many efforts have been made to identify psoriasis biomarkers (such as CRP, cytochrome-c, haptoglobin, platelet P-selectin, TNF, IFN-γ, IL-6, IL-8, IL-12, IL-18 and IL-22), none has yet been translated into daily clinical practice.1 The role of mast cells during inflammation is well known. Mast cells activation into joints and skin can cause the release of several inflammatory mediators, including tryptase;2 hence, we decided to evaluate the role of serum tryptase (ST) in a sample of psoriatic patients. |
