Popis: The article unfolds particularities of the structure and content of accusatory speeches of the distinguished courtroom speaker of the second half of XIX and the the beginning of the XX centuries A.F. Koni. The undisputed talent of the courtroom speaker was displayed not only through the content but also through the unique structure of Koni’s accusatory speeches, notable for the incredible depth and artistic skill. The strength of A.F. Koni’s public speaking talent is in the power of his persuasive logical arguments, which he forms with the sophisticated use of means of expression such as – repetition, parallels, contrast, etc. The distinguished nation of A.F. Koni’s courtroom speeches was shown first and foremost with the speech introductions which he kept reserved and concise. The public speaker paid especial attention in accusatory speeches to the analysis of the crime motives and what drove the accused to commit such an act. The mastery of the public speaking skill by A.F. Koni is one more time displayed through the conclusions of his accusatory speeches, written in expressive and vivid language while carrying in them a deep meaning and lesson learned. A.F. Koni’s accusatory speeches, filled with high dignity, moral value and remarkable artistic skill, were and still remain unsurpassed in form and content as examples of oratory.
