Popis:	Although children have been largely spared the most severe consequences of acute infection with SARS-CoV-2 virus, it is estimated that up to one-quarter of the more than 14 million children diagnosed as having coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have developed persistent symptoms of fatigue, postexertional malaise, neurologic and cognitive symptoms, and other symptoms that interfere with activities of daily living for months after their initial illness. Pediatric postacute sequelae of COVID-19 (pPASC), or long-COVID, is a complex, heterogeneous, postviral condition involving multiple body systems and is likely attributable to several concurrent underlying physiologic processes, including damage from direct viral invasion, endovascular dysfunction and microthrombosis, viral persistence, and the development of autoimmunity. In this review, we explore the current state of the literature regarding definition, epidemiology, clinical presentation, and proposed pathophysiologic mechanisms of pPASC.
