Ecuador (Shasky 1983c; Skoglund 1992), Ecuador, Galapagos Islands (Kaiser 1997), Mexico (Carpenter 1857; Keen 1971), Panama (Adams 1852; Carpenter 1857; Paetel 1888; Bartsch 1907b; Strong & Hertlein 1939; Turner 1956; Keen 1971). Remarks. We were not able to locate the holotype. The genus Triphoris is of feminine gender, therefore the name should be Triphoris inconspicua. Published as part of Bakker, Piet A.
