Popis:	Kveim (1), in 1941, described a delayed cutaneous reaction in patients with sarcoidosis following the intracutaneous injection of heated saline suspensions of sarcoid tissue. This reaction consisted of the formation of an indolent papule which was notable for its slow evolution and its persistence. Biopsy of this papule revealed histologically a sarcoid-like structure. No papule developed in control subjects, including those with syphilis or lupus vulgaris.
