Popis:	The introductory chapter situates the study of international organization in the English School theory of international society with additional inspiration from other approaches, especially constructivism. Furthermore, it clarifies the ontological status of fundamental institutions as inter-subjectively real. Finally, it formulates the working hypothesis that international organizations are not only organizing but potentially also transforming the constitutive principles and practices of fundamental institutions.
