| Popis: | The differential radiological features of gas-containing abscess of the lesser sac of peritoneum are described. Fluid levels in paralytic or sentinel ileus can be confused with this condition. Subphrenic abscess seldom resolves spontaneously and the mortality rises with delay in diagnosis. These abscesses have a notorious lack of clinical localising signs and symptoms, so that radiological visualisation is often a life-saving diagnostic aid. |
