| Popis: | 441. Piezura Rondani, 1866a: 71, 122. ORIGINALLY INCLUDED SPECIES: Piezura pardalina Rondani, 1866. TYPE SPECIES: Piezura pardalina Rondani, 1866, by original designation. CURRENT STATUS: Valid genus [teste Moores & Savage (2005: 44)]. FAMILY: FANNIIDAE. REMARKS: Anthomyza graminicola Zetterstedt, 1846, which was listed as the taxonomically valid name for the type species by Pont (1986a: 42), has since been found by Pont (2002) to represent a different species, so Piezura pardalina Rondani, 1866 is the valid name for the type species.
