The article considers the advantages and disadvantages of modern methods of assessing the personal qualities of the leader and candidates for managerial positions. It is concluded that the application of various assessment methods does not take into account negative situational factors, and also does not take into account possible obstacles to the effectiveness and/or ineffectiveness of the manager's activities, which include both personal and psychological, and business and professional limitations. Therefore, the article raises the question of the need for an impartial and objective assessment of managers and candidates, able to recognize all the main qualities of the leader, their typology and behaviour, especially in crisis and stressful situations. The article suggests a specific procedure for interviewing a leader or candidate for a management position based on the nine-step method of interrogating witnesses Fred Inbau and John Reid. |
