Popis:	A spectrophotometric method is described for the determination of malathion with methylene blue. Malathion is decomposed with alkali and the resultant dimethyldithiophosphate is extracted with methylene blue into chloroform. The colour of the organic layer is measured at 652.1 nm. The method is both simple and sensitive.
