Popis: | WHAT IS ALREADY KNOWN IN THIS AREA • A number of authors Have demonstrated? that GP appraisal is both feasible and acceptable to the profession as a supportive, developmental fool. The NCGST has developed an advisory framework that ideistifies quality parameter's for NHS medical appraisal WHAT THIS WORK ADDS • This article describes a large-scale GP appraisal system and analyses the quality of that system through internal and external mechanisms. The quality parameters tested map to the NCGST advisory framework and to internally developed quality criteria and demonstrate how these can be achieved in practice. SUGGESTIONS FOR FUTURE RESEARCH • There is a need to conduct further research into the beneficial outcomes of appraisal and CPD for both professionals and patients. |
