Popis: | Multinodular and vacuolating neuronal tumor (MVNT) is a recently recognized type of neural tumor that was first documented in 2013. This tumor type is characterized by multiple nodules of neuronal cells with vacuolar degeneration localized in the subcortical white matter. Here, we report a case of MVNT in the right temporal lobe of a 26-year-old female. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) revealed a high-intensity lesion on a T2- weighted image of the right temporal lobe without contrast enhancement. Positron emission tomography revealed increased 11C-methionine uptake in the lesion, which was pathologically diagnosed as MVNT. |
