Popis: | In this report, the case of a 58-year-old male with extensive, rapidly growing cutaneous angiosarcoma is described. Though involvement of the scalp is common in cutaneous angiosarcoma, the extent of cutaneous disease at presentation in this case was striking. This case provides an important illustration of extensive cutaneous angiosarcoma of the scalp and its potential to rapidly advance. Early diagnosis and treatment of cutaneous angiosarcoma is paramount, as cutaneous angiosarcoma is highly aggressive and is associated with an overall poor prognosis. This case is presented to highlight the need for clinicians to maintain a high index of suspicion and low threshold for biopsy in patients presenting with violaceous or ecchymotic lesions on the head or scalp.
