Popis: | Nonlinear interactions between a wave and a zonal current in a two-layer quasi-geostrophic model on a ?-plane are considered. Initially there is no horizontal shear in the basic flow. Subsequently, the non-linear effects will introduce horizontal shears in the basic flow, thus introducing a barotropic energy exchange.
