Popis: | Siekiant gerinti asmenų burnos sveikatos būklę pasaulyje kalbama apie odontologijos klinikų pacientų įgalinimą. Atliktas tyrimas, kurio tikslas – nustatyti tokių pacientų įgalinimo prielaidas. Vykdyta apklausa raštu, naudojant Pacientų įgalinimo klausimyną (PEI). Odontologijos klinikos pacientų bendras įgalinimo balo vidurkis yra 7,6 balo. Didesnis įgalinimas susijęs su moteriška pacientų lytimi, jaunesniu amžiumi, turimomis burnos sveikatos problemomis bei žinių, susijusių su burnos sveikatos problemomis, kaupimu. Pacientų įgalinimą didina ir gydytojo pažinojimas, pakankamas jo skiriamas laikas ir dėmesys pacientui. The aim of the work: to analyse the preconditions for the empowerment of patients in dental clinics. Methods: the instrument used in the study was the Patient Enablement Questionnaire (PEI) and supplementary questions on oral issues. One Klaipėda city private dental clinic and one Palanga city private dental clinic participated in the study. A total of 370 patients, including those who came for their first visit and those who came for a consultation, were interviewed at the clinic. Statistical analysis was performed using the statistical program package SPSS / w 17.0 and Excel 2010. Arithmetic means of ranks were calculated (m). The chi-square (χ2) criterion was calculated to test the hypotheses about the distribution of the variable in the population. Results. The evaluation of patients who visited the dental clinic for a consultation found that women were more likely to seek endodontic treatment and oral hygiene, while men were most likely to seek dental surgery and prosthetics.
