Popis: | Spectrophotometric measurements have been made of systems of catalase and of lactic dehydrogenase containing either salicylic acid, 2-mercaptoethylamine, 2-mercaptoethylguanidine, or sodium diethyldithiocarbamate. Absorption differences indicated complex formation between the dithiocarbamate and lactic dehydrogenase and at least salt formation with catalase. No definite indication of complex formation between these enzymes and either salicylic acid or the basic mercaptans was given by the method employed, although salt or weak field complex formation is a possibility with the latter. |
