Popis: | Advantages of amlodipine, lisinopril and their fixed-dose combination are presented regarding to antihypertensive effect and target-organs protection in patients with arterial hypertension in the presence of obesity. Abnormalities in myocardial strain, increased stiffness of the left heart chambers, left ventricular hypertrophy are considered as "new" risk factors in hypertensive patients along with disturbances in some parameters of blood pressure and its daily profile. Current data about various pathophysiological mechanisms of the favorable impact of calcium channel blockers, as well as angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors, are described, in particular, lisinopril-mediated beneficial effects on myocardial stiffness and regression of myocardial hypertrophy. |
