| Popis: | The general purpose of this research is to describe the opinions of middle school teachers and school administrators on the concept of managerial discipline in the dilemma of mechanical obedience and conscious commitment. The research was carried out in phenomenology design, which is one of the qualitative approaches. The study group of the research consisted of 29 people, consisting of middle school administrators and middle school teachers. The convenience sampling method and snowball sampling methods were utilized during participant selection as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. To collect the data, the interview form was used which prepared by researchers. To analyze the data, content analysis was employed. According to the results obtained in the study, school administrators and teachers stated that even though mechanical obedience-based management approaches objectify people, chaos and indiscipline will arise when these understandings are not adopted. According to another finding, teachers emphasized that school managers should regard justice and equality as the key elements of the administration. At the end of the research, the practitioners were suggested to develop a fair and equal management approach based on teachers' expectations from the administrators. |
