The curriculum developed for the World History and History of the Romanians school disciplineis part of the National Curriculum and represents a regulatory document intended to be implemented in secondary and high schoolclasses. Curricular development in this subject is a necessity dictated by updated standards in historical education and changes occurred with the adoption of the educational paradigm focusing on the student and Child-Friendly School. The curriculum for World History and History of the Romanians includes all the essential, relevant parts of the reality of education in the school, both in terms of representation theory, as well as the practical work being carried out, resulting in a constantreassessment and redesign of the latter. It also substantiates and guides the activity of the teacher, facilitates the creative approach ofthe didactic design approaches of long and short duration, but also of the actual implementation of the teaching-learning-evaluationprocess. The curriculum meets the current requirements of training/development of specifc competences by the discipline, connected to the graduate profile. This school discipline has its own valences in the formation of specific competences. They are developed fromthe perspective of lifelong learning, through learning, whether formal, non-formal, or informal, in all contexts, including the family, school, workplace, neighborhood, and community.
