Popis: | A new antibiotic, active against Gram-positive bacteria, has been isolated from the fermentation broth of the actinomycete Amycolatopsis sp. ST 101170. The structure of the compound named vancoresmycin, a tetramic acid derivative with a highly oxygenated long alkyl chain, was elucidated by extensive spectroscopic studies and derivatization. |
