Popis: | Enterprise software is being pushed further towards the cloud and mobile technological trends, keeping application integration as one of the most challenging topics. The writing introduces a cloud-based Field Service Management solution, productively deployed in a world-wide distributed environment, to serve as a case study. It then continues by outlining practical contributions that have been made towards its empowerment to integrate with various enterprise systems, materialized into the implementation of a cloud communication library wrapping a standard web-based API, that was exposed to solution partners for integrating new ERPs with the cloud. The high-level drawbacks and limitations of this approach are sketched in respect to the contributions the library brings to the master to master integration application domain. |
