Popis: | A sample of 98 families consisting of 589 subjects and composed of three generations were examined on three personality dimensions: psychoticism, extraversion, and neuroticism. In addition, each family was administered tests of social attitudes and social desirability. Results indicated significant correlations between mother-child scores and maternal grandparent-child scores on personality variables but low nonsignificant correlations between father-child scores. These results suggest the presence of maternal effects on personality dimensions. |
