Popis:	Tetraiodothyroformic-3',5'I2131 acid was administered intraperitoneally to male rats. The drug was metabolized by the animal and excreted in the bile. Chromatographic and hydrolytic procedures indicated the single metabolite to be the ester glucuronide. Approximately 7% of the I131 in the acid administered appeared in the urine of intact rats as iodide ion. Thiouracil when given to cholesterol fed rats did not affect the metabolism of the drug.
