Popis: | A synthetic gene encoding the aminoacid sequence of the sweet-tasting protein thaumatin II has been assembled and expressed in Escherichia coli. Immunoblotting analysis shows that the expressed recombinant thaumatin has the same molecular weight as the protein from its natural source, the plant Thaumatoccocus daniellii Benth. |
