Popis: | The pH values of uterine fluid and blood were studied in castrated rats treated with either estrogen alone or estrogen in combination with progesterone. There was no significant difference in the pH of uterine fluid between the estrogen-treated group (mean pH: 7.767 ± 0.160) and the group treated with estrogen and progesterone (mean pH: 7.780 ± 0.123). In both groups, however, the uterine fluid was more alkaline than blood. The possible significance of these findings is discussed. |
