Popis: | The article deals with the specifics of foreign students’ studying in the Soviet Union and modern Russia. The purpose is to identify and describe the basic problems related to the education of foreigners in the Russian Federation. The paper analyses the motives for educational migration as well as factors hindering the adaptation of foreign students to the educational situation in Russia on the basis of empirical data. It reveals problems hindering the increase of the number of foreign students and improvement of the quality of their training, and explores ulterior motives that determine the choice of countries for higher education. |
