Popis: | This study was conducted to explore the relationship between emotional intelligence and creative thinking with academic achievement .This descriptive - correlation study was performed on 156 male and female students of Torbat-e-Heydarieh who were selected by census method during 2012-2013. Data was collected using Bradberry - Greaves' questionnaire of emotional intelligence and Abedi's questionnaire of creative thinking. The mean scores of students were used as an index of academic achievement. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, independent t-test, Pearson correlation coefficient and multiple regressions using Spss20 software .There is no significant relationship between emotional intelligence and academic achievement, but the relationship between creative thinking and academic achievement was positive and significant. Among the components of emotional intelligence and creative thinking, the relationship between social awareness and fluency with academic achievement was significant. There was no significant difference between emotional intelligence and creative thinking scores of male and female students. DOI: 10.5901/mjss.2015.v6n1p598 |
