Popis: | A 41-year-old woman with fever, anterior chest pain, and a palpable mass in the left upper chest wall was hospitalized. Computed tomography (CT) showed swelling of the left pectoralis major muscle. Ga-67 scintigraphy showed abnormal uptake corresponding to the left pectoralis major, bilateral triceps, quadriceps, and psoas muscles. The clinical diagnosis was polymyositis. After treatment, abnormal uptake of Ga-67 disappeared. Ga-67 scintigraphy appears to be useful for diagnosing and evaluating the efficacy of therapy for polymyositis. |
