| Popis: | 9. Ixodes anatis Chilton, 1904. An Australasian species, all of whose parasitic stages are usually found on Struthioniformes: Apterygidae.Adults and nymphs have been collected from Anseriformes: Anatidae. There are no records of Ixodes anatis causing human parasitism. Camicas et al. (1998) list the larva of Ixodes anatis (as a synonym of Scaphixodes apteridis) as undescribed, but this stage was described in Dumbleton (1953). Heath and Kwak (2019) discovered lost type material of Ixodes anatis and designated a lectotype for this species.
