Heat and work distributions for mixed Gauss-Cauchy process

The process represents a paradigmatic model of a nonequilibrium systemsubject to thermal uctuations and additional external noise, with both sources of perturbationsconsidered as additive and statistically independent forcings. We de ne thermodynamic quantitiesfor trajectories of the process and analyze contributions to mechanical work and heat. As a workingexample we consider a particle subjected to a drag force and two independent L evy white noiseswith stability indices = 2 and = 1. The uctuations of dissipated energy (heat) and distributionof work performed by the force acting on the system are addressed by examining contributions ofCauchy uctuations to either bath or external force acting on the system.
