Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a lung disease characterized by persistent airflow limitation. The airflow limitation is not completely reversible and progresses progressively. It mainly involves the lungs and can also cause damage to organs outside the lungs. . COPD is a common respiratory disease with high morbidity and mortality. In recent years, a survey of 20,245 adults in 7 regions of my country shows that the prevalence of COPD accounts for 8.2% of people over 40 years old. The cause of this disease is the progressive decline of lung function, which seriously affects the patient's labor force and quality of life, causing a huge social and economic burden. According to research published by the World Bank/World Health Organization, COPD has become the fifth largest economic burden of disease in the world by 2020. |
