Popis: | Recent advancements in augmented reality have helped to bridge the gap between real world and virtual environments. In this context, augmented reality can be used to assist operators in control rooms by providing extra information in the decision-making process and to improve user attention. In this paper, we focus on the application of augmented reality in industrial safety applications in a control room environment. Our work is divided into three modules. First, we develop a safety-critical application for emergency fire scenarios. Then, we make it available on two rendering devices: a flat 2D laptop screen and on Microsoft HoloLens. Finally, to check the usability and the effectiveness of the application, subjective tests are performed. |
