Popis: | Strongly acidic (pKa = -3.5) room-temperature ionic liquids (ILs) with –OSO3H functionalized cations are introduced. The strong acidity, easy synthesis, and better physical properties of these R–OSO3H ILs make them excellent alternatives to the well-known sulfonic acid (R–SO3H) ILs, especially in the domain of metal processing. crosscheck: This document is CrossCheck deposited related_data: Supplementary Information copyright_licence: The Royal Society of Chemistry has an exclusive publication licence for this journal copyright_licence: The accepted version of this article will be made freely available after a 12 month embargo period history: Received 5 January 2016; Accepted 1 March 2016; Accepted Manuscript published 1 March 2016; Advance Article published 7 March 2016; Version of Record published 17 March 2016 ispartof: Chemical Communications vol:52 issue:25 pages:4640-4643 ispartof: location:England status: published |
