Popis: | An experimental study of the shear and flexural behavior of reinforced concrete members with solid circular cross sections is presented. The test was carried out on six specimens. Three were confined with circular hoops, and three had no confinement. All tested specimens were subjected to two point monotonic loads. The amount of longitudinal reinforcement was used as a test variable. Theoretical shear strength was calculated using equations presented in literature and then compared to the shear strength obtained experimentally. Comparison between test results and theoretical shear capacity shows that equations conservatively estimate shear strength of the specimens. Analytical study was also conducted to obtain the flexural response of the specimens through all ranges of elastic and post-peak load. Analytical prediction compares well with the test result. |
