Digital processing of audio signals enables detection and monitoring of species that emit sounds in crop fields. This paper aims to show a case study of a mesh network format cicada monitoring system in coffee plantations. The system, manages the sending, receiving, controlling and caching of data traveling between nodes deployed in the field. Laboratory tests have shown promising results for the intended application.
