Popis: | Background: Nurses require to implement nursing care according to evidence-based practice to meet the needs of acute and critically-ill patients. Undoubtedly, patient with stroke is vulnerable to complications due to the nature of disease and its consequences which effects a pivotal part in the brain. Methodology: Quasi-experimental design has been adopted with non-probability (purposive sample) of 34 nurses who taking care of stroke patients at Middle Euphrates Center for neurosciences. Results: The results of this study revealed that the level of nurses' practices at pre-test period was moderately adequate at mean scores (X=60.3, SD= 37.8), while at post-test the participants’ practices enhanced significantly (X= 72.4, SD=35.3). Conclusions: Based on the findings of this study, the level of nurses' practices regarding rehabilitation of post-stroke patients improved Significantly after implementing the educational program as compared with pretest period. The improvement of nurses’ practices indicated that the post-stroke rehabilitation program on nurses' practices is effective.
