Popis: In the Caribbean and the Gulf of Mexico, public authorities pay much attention to extreme atmospheric hazards like hurricanes, which can cause serious damages to the population and economy. In this region of the Atlantic other severe weather events bring heavy precipitation-and are often misforecasted by weather agencies. In this study, we investigate the passage of a cold front over Guadeloupe Archipelago that occurred between 27-28 November 2016, which heavily impacted the main island in terms of rainfall. Numerical experiments are conducted to investigate roles of the large-scale processes, the impact of topography and its surface induced processes. We try to understand the governing atmospheric processes with several simulations including different microphysics schemes (MP), five cumulus (CU) parameterizations and two planetary boundary layer (PBL) schemes within the WRF model [2,3]. In this poster we will describe the first results obtained with one microphysics scheme (WSM6) and five cumulus parameterizations.
