Popis: The study sought to establish the prevalence of PTSD among couples in selected Presbyterian Church of East Africa (PCEA) Churches in Nairobi, Kenya. The Posttraumatic Stress Disorder Checklist (PCL-5) was used to collect data from the sample size of 50 couples/ participants using purposive sampling technique. The findings indicate there was no relationship between marriage duration and PTSD severity in the control group (p=0.578), but in the experimental group, the relationship was statistically significant (p=0.011). The study concluded that PTSD symptoms can negatively impact relationship functioning among couples. Clinicians, family therapists and religious institutions need to evaluate the benefits of MBCBT.
