Popis: | Indians are known to be habitual squatters. The habitual squatting is known to cause anatomical changes over a period of time in the bones which participate in such extreme actions. In squatting the subtalar joint is involved more than any other joint. Authors have described in the past about such modifications in the medial condyle of femur but majority and frank changes can be appreciated in the inferior extremity of the tibia into contact with the dorsum of the neck of the talus. Life style modifications have caused changes in the decreased frequency of squatting in the day to day life. Present study aims to check whether there is decrease in the frequency and puts a base for further such studies in the near future. |
