Popis: | Radionuclide cisternography in a group of 11 patients with subdural hematomas showed decidedly abnormal patterns of flow. The most common finding was a localized area of decreased uptake, indicating arrested or reduced flow in the subarachnoid spaces of the cerebral convexity underlying the hematoma. Control postoperative cisternograms demonstrated that the localized area of reduced radionuc1ide flow persists after evacuation of the hematoma, at least in the early postsurgical period. The diagnostic value and limitations of cisternography and its usefulness as compared to other diagnostic procedures in suspected subdural hematoma are discussed. |
