Popis: | This paper presents a different method for measuring the efficiency and the lifetime of a battery cell, that are two of the most important features for the development of hybrid and fully electric vehicles since they affect the performance of the whole system. The IEC 62660–1 is the current automotive standard procedure used to measure them, but it is not sufficient to evaluate all the performances of a cell, especially in a real scenario. The presented method allows to obtain a more accurate measure and a map of the efficiency with respect to the lifetime, reducing the number of tests and using a more realistic dynamic stress cycle. The proposed procedure has been tested on LiFePO 4 cell in order to show the difference with respect to the IEC standard. |
