Popis: | Summary The inhibitors of the converting enzyme and the kininase II, SQ 14,225 and SQ 20,881, were administered chronically to normal Wistar rats to evaluate different parameters of the kallikrein-kinin system. Both drugs produced an increase in the urinary flow and kallikrein excretion. Renal kallikrein decreased and plasma kininogen increased in both experimental groups. Since similar results were obtained using saralasin, a competitive inhibitor of angiotensin II, it is postulated the possibility that the alterations observed in the kallikrein-kinin system were due to the inhibition of the renin-angiotensin system and not to the reduced activity of the kininase II. |
