| Popis: | Polypoid masses that protrude into the vaginal canal always raise the suspicion of sarcoma botryoides. It is our purpose to report a case of the benign vaginal polypoid lesion, pseudosarcoma botryoides, and to review the literature concerning this lesion. Hormonal milieu appears to play a role in their etiology. The criteria for distinguishing benign vaginal polyp from sarcoma botryoides and mixed mesodermal sarcoma are discussed. |
