Popis:	The use of parts made of Sheet Moulding Compound (SMC) for automotive exterior applications has been established for several years. Compression moulded parts are applied successfully especially for medium-series vehicles and trucks. A simulation method developed by the Institute of Plastics Processing (IKV) at RWTH Aachen University together with industrial partners facilitates component design.
